A lady I know signed up to this jointly with A N Other, she mentioned on the phone tonight that she thinks she has made a big mistake doing this.
I advised her to ask CAB or similar if she could back out of it as it is making her so uncomfortable.
She is a very timid lady, and I said I would ask on here if this was possible in law.
Any ideas please?

If you’re an attorney under an enduring power of attorney (EPA) and no longer want to be an attorney, use form EP5.
I assume that you mean that the lady is one of two attorneys named in the LPA (rather than her having appointed someone else as her attorney).

If so, is the person whose affairs are covered by the LPA still currently able to make his/her own decisions? If he/she is then they should complete a partial deed of revocation and send it to the Office of the Public Guardian. (It simply means typing out a few sentences, signing it in the presence of a witness, getting the witness to sign it and posting it. No form is required and no lawyer is needed):

Thank you for that, the person in question is in a fairly advanced state of dementia. The timid lady herself is under some considerable stress re the situation hence her wanting out.
The other joint attorney is the subject's cousin.
I will read the links provided and see if I am able to understand and pass on the information contained in them.
Thank you.
If the donor is in an advanced state of dementia you can ignore my link and just refer to F-F's.
