Court Hearing
23 Answers
Friday 8th I am attending a court hearing to see who gets custody of my two grandchildren age 3 and 18 months. My son and his ex partner have been told the children will not return to ether of their care, as neither have the parental abilities needed. The social workers have concluded that my husband and I are the best option. The mother of the children is contesting this, saying that I am “mentally unstable”. My doctors report says I am stable mentally. What could happen as a result of her contesting?

Only the court can decide. But from what you say it is VERY ,VERY unlikely the court will go against the Social workers descision !

Ok the latest update. My son’s ex’s solicitor advised her to retract her statement after informing her she doesn’t really have much chance of winning, but she couldn’t really let go, so we now have another court hearing on March 5th. I’ve been informed I’ve got 99% chance of getting custody of the girls, so the social workers advisedme to start getting prepared for my new arrivals. Thanks to all for your advice. Will update you all after March 5th.
