Yes indeed. I remember 20 July 1969 like it was yesterday. Michael Collins was never going to walk on the moon, yet his role in Apollo 11 was in many ways the most important.

Indeed it was Jim, I truly felt for him when he said in interview that if things hadn't gone to plan he felt he'd be a marked man if he came back alone.

And it so nearly happened! Twice! The lander had only 30 seconds of fuel left before it landed and, of course, the circuit breaker to fire off the engines to take the astronauts into lunar space to rendezvous with Michael Collins in the command module was broken, and Buzz Aldrin fixed it with a metal pen he just happened to have on him to close the circuit!

Had my second Pfizer vaccine today. So far so good....
