Validity of Emails in Court
I recently found out my phone company (TB), had switched my original Internet contract from the basic option to the most expensive option, without notifying me!
When I called and spoke to an advisor, they told me they had notified me via email using the email address I was forced to sign up for when I first suscribed, an email which I have never used. Despite having an alternative email on file, they failed to notify me via that email. In addition, when TB have new promotions or wish to collect a bill, they notify me via post. I have paid the bill for the expensive option already as payments have to be made in advance but I was wondering if this kind of notification via an email will be upheld in court?
