divorce fees?

Is there a fee to get divorced? No property,no children,two year seperation. Does it make a difference who petitions as to what fees are paid i.e. does one party pay more or is the cost shared?

There's an initial application fee and a further fee to apply for a decree nisi to become absolute. Both of these fees are quite small and, depending upon your circumstances, you might not have to pay them. (Whoever submits the application to the court has to make the payments).

Going thru divorce at the moment and as my darling ex has asked for me to pay costs i havebeen limbered with at least 50% of the fees. Including her solicitors fees. Not too good huh as she was the petitioner.

See a solicitor, you should get the first meeting free.
