I own my own house (no morgage) and would like to add my husband's name to my deeds how do I do this without the services of a solicitor?

contact your local land registry and ask them.
You need a form of Transfer, the consideration being not a payment as in the case of a normal sale, but 'love and affection'. You will then need to send this, together with the Land Certificate which presumably you hold, to the relevant Land Registry with the proper fee. Indeed, a word with the Land Registry will prove helpful and tell you more precisely than this short paragraph.

Hi All. I now have the forms TR1, AP1 and Stamp duty land tax. As I am not fluent in legal speak I can not make head nor tale of what the questions mean. Do I have to bite the bullet and employ a solicitor or is there someone out there who can translate this lot into plain English?
