Changing details on a Birth Certificate

I need a full birth certificate for my daughter in order to apply for a passport. When I originally registered her, the father was not present and we couldn't include his details. We have been unable to add them to the register due to his work commitments and the offices are only open during working hours. We need a full certificate now, would i be able to get ANOTHER cetificate with his details on at a later date?

it's possible, but involves presenting at the original office in person and having sworn statements etc taken.
