the judge ruled that he remained in the family home to raise the two children and that should he sell the property a percentage of the sale would have to be shared with he ex-wfe. one child has left home and the other one is age 19. the exwife will be returning back to england does she have any legal right to force him to sell the property

But as it was such a long time ago, if she didn't make any payments toward the mortgage, If it were me, I'd argue (through a solicitor / court) that I'd brought up 2 kids & paid the mortgage and that i would feel it unfair that she benefit from any sale, giving that the house will be worth a lot more now than it was then. If he fights it, he may get it overturned or at least the percentage lowered, I'd certainly give it a shot.
