you may be surprised to hear that many people want their gardens to actually look like a garden and not like a green carpet
it is their garden, they can have it the way they want - what on earth makes you think other people have to adhere to your idea of what a garden should look like?
i cannot believe you had the nerve to approach the letting agent, with this petty nonsense!
although, you could always mow it yourself....

May I remind you that the weather has been terrible lately and cutting the grass has been impossible for everyone - except those who have nothing better to do! For people who work during the week how are they supposed to cut the grass if it rains all weekend. In addition the grass would have surely grown faster during this rainy period, so get real, you over fussy, anti renter!
Unfortunately you don't really have a say in how unkempt a neighbours garden is.
If it really bothers you that much, I suggest you speak to the tenants and ask them if they'd be happy for you to maintain their garden as you feel it affects the aesthetics of the front of the properties. As they may not be the slightest bit interested in gardening.
