driving test emergency
Hope this in right section ive got my driving test booked for Friday and my instructers car has gearbox problms and wont be ready for test so can i change the car over to my own at the test centre? ive only got 3rd party fire and theft insurance on my car but with me as a named driver do i need fully com? and what documents do i need to produce at the centre other than the usual ones i in panic over this as i really want to take this test as there is a 6wk wait were i live and i need this.

I took my test in my own car - you have to take someone with you - as when you go you dont have a license and you may need some one to drive you home (hopefully not). I had to produce both parts of driving licence as norm, no other documents were needed back then (3 and a half years ago...)

Your examiner will ask you to sign a declaration stating that your insurance is in order.
