Is there a law that dictates that after you pass your driving test you have to have a car and be on the road driving wihtin a certain amount of time or your driving license will become invalid?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.No but don't forget that you must send off for your licence when you pass your test, if you don't within a certain amount of time it becomes invalid I think, but like Ethel says you don't have to own a car and be driving for your licence to remain valid once you have it :o)
Ahh yes just found it, it becomes invalid after 2 years and then you have to start all over again.
I know it's not quite what you were asking but thought it could have been what you were thinking or what someone else may have said and getting the 2 mixed up.
Anyway, always useful to know and be aware of this kind of thing :o)
