Phone up and report it.
report it, it might only be a little crime but it could be connected to or vital imformation to another one that happened lastnight
even if not related to another crime at least it will go down on record.

When the police give out their official statistics and say crime rate is down in your area would you rather know that its because policing is better or think that its because people arent actually reporting crimes anymore?
Not that police will do that much about it
I'd report it, too, although sorry to say I agree with 4getmenot.

just rung the incident line, took all details and gave me an incident number. dont think will get them back and if we do dont want them in garden now anyway. cant have owt round ere anymore
will be teenagers
and its not that bad agreeing with me kleiber :-) lol
kitten, just a small thing.

Make sure you get a crime number and not just an incident number.

An incident number will simply mean any incident the local police are involved with, that could simple mean a stop check, a report of a lost sheep, or a visit to a house.

A crime number is a yearly statistic which shows which incidents are actually crimes. This may be sent through the post later on.

Also if you get some more, buy some permanent paint and paint the stems of the lights. It won't stop them being stolen but the little bu66ers will ruin their clothes and have black paint on their hands for about 3 months!!!!
The police will not be able to say they're being kept in the dark!!!
Lol
probably kids, but there may be cctv somewhere that could help them with other things
not necessarily teenagers. Someone jumped on the roof of my car. I reported it (I saw him do it and recognised him). He was arrested, sent to court and fined with compensation due to me all within a week of doing it. He was 35 years old. One expensive night out. Report it.

only moanin, been misrable all day, only wanted a nice garden, darent go to bed now incase something else goes missing. only had them less than a month. :(
Can you not claim for them on yir insurance?
Question Author
w are only renting(private) so im not sure we have insurance,,, plus they only cost us 8quid or so. im not bothered about the cost and i dont want anymore if they are to be stolen. just hate the thought of someone in my garden.
And just to make things even better...............you will now have to declare this as a 'loss' to any insurance company next time you are casting about for home insurance.............

I couldn't believe it either and had a (well, figuratively speaking) stand-up argument over the 'phone regarding and incident at my home. They get you by asking 'have you had any claims or losses in the last xxxxxxx months'.

The b'stards get you coming AND going !
