I want to transfer the name on the deeds of my house to another person. No money will change hands I just want tho give him the house. Are there any problems with this? I am in the process of transferring the equity to him so he can start to pay the mortgage.

So you are giving him the house and the debt that attaches to it without receiving any money for the equity? Sounds strange but you must have your reasons. You can only do this with the consent of your lender who will appoint solicitors to ensure that their interests are protected so you should get leagal advice and speak to your lender.

Thank you will contact the mortgage company about this. Have also been on to the land registry website - the forms are very complicated I think but I will carry on with it would a solicitor help with that process?
Oh yes, that's what they're for.
