I don't know whether you can help but.

I found out after buying my house that there is going to be a bus lane running along the side of my house. The council have apologised for not informing me of this when I had my searches done and have passed file on to their insurance company.

The council's Insurance Company don't think that I have a case.

I am now in a house that I don't want to be in and have no option to move again!

I would appreciate any advice or point me in the right direction.

I can't understand why you think you have a loss.

A bus lane would be a distinct advantage over regular traffic, surely?

Or have I misunderstood?

Hi

It means the road is to be moved closer to my boundary fence. Which means more noise, people will be able to see right into our garden and house. And if I had of known about the bus lane when I had my searches done I would of decided against buying the property but I didnt get the choice. I also think that it will put people off buying it.

Ah - you didn't say the road would be widened.

Are buses currently using the road?

Yes the road is to be widened on my side only. Buses do use the road now but they cant see in but once the widened the road and take trees down they will be able to see over our fence and we will hear more noise. The house shakes when buses/lorries go past it now god knows what its going to be like when it comes closer.
