Noisy Flat Block questions

I live in a flat block that has 8 flats inside, currently there are only 6 inhabited including my own.

I get on very well with all of the families in the block but there is a problem.....All day/every day you can hear doors slamming shut, as all doors are fire doors and the wind seems to close them all with a "thud"
This problem seems 100 times worse first thing in the morning, waking my partner up several times each day.

Do I have any way of enforcing the maintenance company to make the flat block a little more sound proof as this is getting everybody in the block down!

If the maintenance company won't do anything you could alway club together with the other tenants in the block and buy one of those "soft close" hinges.They are really easy to fit so you wouldn't need to pay someone to do it.

yes they can make the flats more sound proof...but that involves money!!!! , who is going to couhgh up for ths soundproofing........

you can buy strips of adhesive spongy stuff that you can put on the door to stop the noise, we did that in our block to silence the doors and it worked a treat!
