Can Natwest get away with it?
5 Answers
I am furious at Natwest. How can they get away with this? I went over my overdraft agreed limit on the 30th of september and they charged me 28 on the 31st of october as a "maintenance fee" for it .Now I find that they are charging me another 28 because I was over the limit on october 1st too and it counts as a new month, yet my monthly statement counts the period from October 5th as the new month and I wasnt over my limit on ocotber 5th!
Can they get away with this? Is there somewhere that I can write to see if I can get them to remove the 2nd charge?

I rung up on his behalf and was very assertive on the phone and explained it was a genuine mistake etc and had never happened before and they refunded it. I also got refunded for going over the limit on a halifax credit card as well after writing a letter so I would definitely try it unless you do it all the time
