Chanting is the repeated noise emitted from ones mouth.

Chanting can nowadays include a solo person.

Apart from in an emergency to safe life or limb, by order of an official or you are an official/player, it is an offence to go on to the pitch.

Fairly straight forward I think.
The 1991 act gave the definition of chanting as : "chanting� means the repeated uttering of any words or sounds in concert with one or more others". This was superceded by the Football (offences and disorder) act 1999 which amended it to "whether alone or in concert with one or more others".
