My friend pleaded not-guilty at a Crown court for a GBH charge, then didn't show for the next hearing as he had no witness's and the other person had a witness, so he didn't want to go to jail for something he didn't do.
But just a couple of years later there is nothing about this on the PNC check.
Can anyone explain this?
Or is it only on the court records??..not police?

What PNC check?
A CRB check wouldn't show anything unless he was convicted in absentia, but if someone links his current address to any warrant still outstanding he could still get a nasty shock one morning...
Question Author
yeah but isn't a CRB check and a PNC check supposed to show all cautions, arrests, charges etc??
