Continuing fence saga

In a nutshell, part of a garden fence (owned by my neighbour) blew down in the wind, damaging my plants and smashing part of the greenhouse. Their numerous dogs now use my lawn as a toilet. I've tried to be reasonable and I've even offered to go halves on a new fence panel but they told me to f*** off. Another 6ft tall panel is now looking precarious and if it blows down it will demolish my greenhouse completely.
My question is - can I legally remove this panel to prevent damage/injury ?

mrs o, wait for a good strong gust of wind (ie a dark night) and shove it back there way onto their plants (or dog)
if they wont replace it then your only option is to put a fence your side of boundary, make sure you paint their side pink or something.
oh and call the council dog warden about the dog being on loose.

It's a tricky situation. You have 2 options.
1. Go with what the others have said and errect your own fence, an inch or 2 inside your boundary.. and forget this whole sorry mess...
or
2. Errect the fence as in above scenario, and then submit a small claim via your County Court for the damage to your plants and greenhouse.
If you choose the latter, then your relations with the neighbours may deteriorate further and if you decide to sell your house in the next year or so, you may have to declare a dispute on the Sellers Property Information Form.
They are obviously selfish ignorant twits, so if I were you I would go with 1 and get this resolved asap.
As for mamjet, he is a sad little man.
