Company sick pay - finishing

My CSP finished on the 17th September. should I have been given notice of this happening? the first I knew anything about it was when I was withdrawing money at bank!

The amount of sick pay you get should be in your contract - it would stipulate how much you get for how long.

You should also get a pay slip each month. Have you been getting them?

Haven't seen payslip for months, they are available online, but my remote access expired 4 months ago (requested copies..still waiting!)HR dept had told me that my sick pay would be finishing on the 13th November.....it appears that there was a misunderstanding between salaries & HR.

So, is the date they stopped paying your sick pay correct or not? I dont think they have to tell you as you would already have been informed in your contract that you would be paid whilst off sick for x number of weeks.

Sounds like youve already asked your company about this anyway who have given you an explanation.

as long as you still have sick notes they will pay yopu statutaory sick pay rather than company sick pay, prtobably for up to 26 weeks, then after that they will probably ask for a date when you are able to return to work, at that point if you are still off they may terminate your contract on the grounds of your GP not giving you a adte for return to work.
Read your staff handbook it will explain. Whilst you are getting statutory sick pay you should also be able to make a claim for housing/council tax benefit .

If it was Statutory Sick Pay you were receiving, you should have been issued form SSP1 when they stopped paying. If you are still unable to work, you should now be able to claim Incapacity Benefit.
