My driveway blocked!

I live in a cul-de-sac at the bottom of a terraced road. People use it to reverse their cars which is totally fine. There are parking spaces for visitors to the cul-de-sac also, which are usually full. The part of the cul-de-sac drivers use to reverse their cars is right infront of my house, now some drivers actually park and leave their cars there blocking my driveway, so we cant get out or in. I've started thinking if peoples cars were getting clamped they would soon stop this ignorant behaviour. Can the council clamp drivers who are blocking people in their own driveways.

I always thought it was illegal to park across a driveway with a dropped kerb....bloody ignorant of people to do so

WOW! Well i'd say first of all that you have every right to be annoyed at this, secondly i would suggest that you either ask the person to move it and if that fails then i would contact the local council or public transport authorities or even the police as a last resort, so my opinion is that you should not be expected to do that in the first place as that is YOUR home and you have the right to go in and out whenever you wish, and no-one has the right to to that, so take a stand for your rights and sort it quick otherwise it will keep happening.

I know how you feel I once lived by a church and every Sunday someone would bloke our drive.

One Sunday this happened and I could not get my car of my drive so I stormed in to the church right in the middle of the service and shout can the person who has blocked my car with there car move it�.the vicar looked shocked but the car was moved with the said man calling me all the names under the sun lol �but my husband had called the police and the man was given a ticket for blocking a drive .
The police told me and the vicar if this happens again call them and they will tow it away .

So call the police and they will send a community support officer round

Call the police. They will treat it as either unnecessary obstruction or wilful obstruction and will issue a fixed penalty notice.
Call the council and see if they are prepared to put parking restrictions in place such as yellow lines, which will mean their own parking operatives can deal with it.
