For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Yes, after death. If it has gone through Probate, you write to the York Sub Probate Registry, which I think is at Duncombe Place, enclosing a cheque for �5 to HMPG with details of the deceased and they will send you a copy.
If it has not been through probate, you can ask the executors, but they are not obliged to give you a copy.
