Change of Address DVLA

I am still getting post for my ex bf, he claims he had moved away from the area, but DVLA envelopes say you cant return post. What will happen ? Will he get fined for not renewing his car tax and not changing his living address ?

Write / Type a letter, explaining your bf no longer lives at your address and enclose all post with his name on with your letter. On his letters, just write "no longer at address, returned to sender"

Errrrr....I haven't changed my address with DVLA for years. I've still been able to hire cars etc...

Car tax is another issue..
