if you want someone to keep away from you ie you are are a married couple, and you get an injunction out against them, do both parties of the couple have to sign to say this is what they want or can just one person give permission that the person doesnt make contact with either of them. my sister and her husband are having problems with a past ex who wont leave him. he says just to leave it but my sister really wants to go and see a solicitor about it.

if both parties don't want to make contact, why is there a need for an injunction? They just don't make contact, surely?
I think you've misread it Bednobs. If A and B are being hassled by C,the poster wants to know if both A and B need to agree with each other to an injunction against C. In this situation, the poster says that C is hassling A and B so clearly one party does want to make contact with the other.

her husband is all for a quiet life and just ignores his ex but she does go up to him in the pub and street and tries to engage in conversation etc. my sister wants to get an injunction as its affecting their relationship, ie arguments. i dont think he still wants contact truthfully, just nothing serious re court order, solicitors getting involved. so, can my sister get an injunction for both her and husband or does husband have to sign, thats what i wanted to know please?
