I sometimes park in a small 3-space parking bay just down the road from me. I found a piece of paper on the front screen of my car one morning saying that this parking bay was private to the residents of X street only. Now, this bay has 3 spaces in an enclosed area. I got my car keyed when it was parked near someones house so I moved it. On this bay (which isn't on a main road, there is no through-road in the area) there are NO lines, NO signs. Although it is closer to their house then mine, surely they have no right to just claim it? Help..!
It's enclosed. It is not part of the public highway so does not need lines or signs.
You are trespassing, exactly as if you parked on somebody else's front drive.
The owners rights will show on their deeds, or lease.
