landlord being unreasonable
My daughter rented a house for 12 months and the landlord through the letting agent said he wanted to sell the house so gave my daughter notice to leave.. he now says he's not giving her back the month up front payment as the house needs redecorating.. the house is in better order now than when my daughter moved in as she redecorated 2 rooms whilst she was there because the rooms were dirty and needed refreshing.. this landlord is obviously ripping her off is there any arbitration services she can use to try to sort this out?

So, tell the letting agent that you will be contacting the Tenancy deposit protection team on....
Telephone
020 7944 4400
Email
[email protected]
And you will be taking the matter up with them
Should make them sit up and take notice, especially if they never paid the deposit into the scheme, as required by law.
