If you have the programme burned onto a DVD and they are not going to put it out as, or for, commercial gain, I don't see why not. The only people seeing it will be them and I don't think the fraud squad will be after you!

Why ever not torchwood??
It is possible that they may not be able to watch it though. I've had recorded DVDs from someone and they don't seem to work on my DVD player.

Some DVD recordings from TV will only play on the DVD it was recorded on.

It's true Ron, on my Panasonic DVD recorder, programmes recorded from the TV will only play once on a different DVD player. I recorded a film for my son-in-law, which he absolutely loves and would want to watch it often. It played once and then no more. Even if the disc is "finalised", it will still only play the once.
