Most likely is you may be friends with them but don't really know them in the true friend sense, and what they say is directed at friends of theirs who know them well enough to realise what they are - or are not - saying.

its not just the youngsters that like to court sympathy on FB. I've known some adults use 'loaded' stauses that attempt to attract responses.

TBH I dont appove of using the internet to trawl out your misery.

That is my pet hate of FB. People who post things like "oh life is terrible" or "I can't believe that just happened" are attention seeking idiots. All they want is for people to ask what's wrong/whats happened and they they say I'll inbox you. Just to get evryone wondering. My bet is that about 1% of their 'friends' actually care.

Drives me mad too Molly. Also the idiots who post everything they are doing in a day as a status, you get "going for shower now" or "having a nice cup of tea". Seriously, who gives a toss!!
