its a good think or not, have you made friends with people you havent seen for ages or have people you no longer want to know tried to add you?? do you ahve any stories about it?

Joe - that is so true - I only have 42 ish, I think - recently removed a few. I have a friend on there - she lives literally a few miles from me in the same town. At one time she thought the internet was the devil and couldn't be doing with it. I have to laugh now, she is on there night and day, writing a load of drivel and she has 175 friends - not sure where these friends were when I was helping her through her divorce and sitting listening to her crying.

I just don't 'get' FB. I'm in contact with everybody I want to contact, and that's it. Is it some sort of thing to see how popular you are? Or to show off photos of kids/holidays/property etc? My B-I-L has one, but then he's a bit of a show-off anyway, and he keeps trying to bully me into setting one up. He keeps on saying he's going to do it for me - I told him if he does that, and I'll NEVER cook for him again, and so far he's resisted, but got whiney about it.

I'm not quite sure about FB either I have quite a few friends who I don't really know, apart from some of you who come on here that i like. I don't send messages much. I had a request for a friend from someone called Mabel, no idea who she is whether or not she is on Ab or CB she didn't say. It's usually my family that take up all my pages anyway

I have a sister who lives in Australia, it's nice to see her photos and for her to see photos of the comings and goings here.

With just email, you can't find someone if you don't already have their email address. At least with something like FB you can get a good idea whether you've got the right person by looking at their friends/location/photos etc.

It's just a people competition on a massive scale, women who think their babies / children are better than everyone else's....who cares ? Then the women who always update their status by telling everyone how much they love their boyfriends/husbands etc etc - I should hope they do otherwise why be with them lol ?? How bad their hangover is, how ill they feel, It really is drivel most of the time....

Thanks Bobbi - maybe i've got a jaundiced approach to it from my B-I-L, he's very much - 'ohwe're going to New York/BermudaThailand next week, then after that we 'll spend the weekend at the marina on the boat' - here's some photos blah blah - I can't be doing with it!
