And there lies the problem for a lot of the unemployed...

Some time ago, i was chatting to a long term unemployed lad who comes into our shop daily to buy his booze, lottery tickets and fags (y'know as you do when you're jobless) and we were talking about jobs, he was happily moaning that "there's nowt out there, been looking everywhere". When I told him that there was in fact a cleaning job going at out place he was horrified and refused to even contemplate it.
