Tom from Hollyoaks

I was watching Hollyoaks last night and I was a bit disturbed when Mandy found her little brother Tom in the graveyard. I know he is the best actor in that program but he looked genuinly destressed. What do they have to do to that little boy to make him cry like that??? If that was just acting then he needs to be in Hollywood!

They threatened to destroy all his toys. It's the standard tv industry way of getting children to emote. In Hollywood they regularly use threats of violence to the child or their loved ones, such as threatening to break their thumbs. Thankfully this is not standard practice in the UK.

that poor kid must be so jaded by now...I mean he's in tears at least twice a week, they must be running out of threats.

He's so cute though, looks like he just needs a big hug.

In The Commitments there's a scene where the baby is crying because the music's so loud... If you look really closely, you can see they're squirting water in his face...Bless.
