and the poor little mites are bored, tired and fed up. I feel sorry for their brothers and sisters who have to go along and watch
It's programmes like that which make me think one should have a licence to have children.

What are the parents thinking of?
I saw a programme about this on Channel 4 (I think) a few months ago, and I thought that it was terrible - all those terribly done-up women telling all these little girls to go massively over the top on make-up, spray tan etc, and then to be told to pose sexily and pout! What message is this giving out? What happened to childhood? - I had a feeling that a lot of the mothers would like to have been doing this themselves. I'm not a mother, but my OH has grandchildren, one of who is a very pretty little girl of 6 or 7, who fortunately is a very down to earth little girl, who will be allowed to experiment with make-up etc when she is a LOT older.
When we were in the US a few years ago, there was one of those beauty pageants in the hotel. It was really creepy seeing all those 5 year olds with immaculate coiffured hair and make-up. In the lift, one little girl was crying because she was tired, but her mother said she had got through to the next round and she had to make herself more beautiful for that! It was awful, wish there was a social worker around!
there was a photo of a little girl, 3 years of age, dressed as the character out of Pretty Women, the julia roberts part of the hooker, with big hair, thigh boots, and doing all the moves, or so it seemed. The mother needs a kick up the jacksie.
