We just watched it, on the outset, I said "this one guy I really dont like" due to his boozing, beating his wife and drugs etc, When it finished I had a totally different view.
A great guy that has been to hell and back many times. he now has my respect.
Notas - I suggest you read everhelpful's post @ 23.11, RATTER's post @ 23.16 and Carakeel's post @ 23.19. He's a nice guy who went off the rails, was ill and had a breakdown and he bitterly regrets some of his actions. He's a genuine person. A fantastic footballer and much loved by many many people in this country and the world over. He's always worn his heart on his sleeve and never took himself too seriously like many do. Try and watch the programme and you might change your mind.
I didn't say he was....I said that is what the crowd were shouting. I was there...but didn't manage to get the contact details of the crowd standing near me.
Ummmm. I suggest you misheard. An internet search yields NO hint of Rolf Harris being a wife beater. Therefore It was NOT a "chant" at Glastonbury. You gotta stop saying that. It's libellous.
No, ummmm, I was not. But if what you say happened, I know it would be all over the internet. It would have been on the internet BEFORE, so that folks knew what to chant.
I didn't say the whole friggin crowd were chanting it...people where we were standing were chanting it. Quite a lot of people were there ya know. Do you think everything that everyone does and says at Glasto will appear on google?
Funnily enough ummmmm, yes. Most things turn up on google. (those things that are of any note).
I have no interest in Rolf Harris.
You indulged in malicious gossip, with no back up. Bad form.
