Why do people hate the Beckhams?

Just read an article on the DM site and the main item in the story was the fact Victoria Beckham was yet again holding her baby daughter instead of having her in a pushchair, as if this was a bad thing.

Then it's filled with hundreds of comments below, mostly slating VB for some reason. I really do not get why people have such a dislike of her.

OK, so it might get a bit boring seeing their faces in the papers every day but they at least don't feel the need to sell their family photos to the highest bidder (not that they need the cash). She realised a while ago she isn't the best singer in the world so put her efforts into fashion, which she seems to have a knack for. I can't think of anything she has done that is so horrendous so why do people love to slate her so much?

I just couldn't believe the amount of stick she is getting for carrying her 4 month old baby more than shoving her in a pushchair. I am certain other celeb mothers would get praised for the same thing.

I like them.. lots of behind the scenes good works but as they support mostly individuals rather than large charities it goes unreported. Seem to have good relationship with their kids too...

They seem like a nice couple when they're interviewed and nothing wrong with holding your children, as others have said bitterness and jealousy I reckon, but like they care anyway, so doesn't really matter, just a shame people are so shallow.

I think they're a lovely family, they both adore their family and its refreshing to see. Plus David's fantastic eye candy!

I like them, because they have human failings.

He's thick as a very short plank, past it as a footballer.

She had a shortish career in a manufactured, oversold girl group, seems to have body image problems, and is probably as thick as David.

We can all share this, but they have milked their careers, moved to the USA where celebrity is a way of life, and done well.

It's their humanity that makes it all OK

I wouldn't say that I hate them but I've never forgiven him for that kick in that World Cup match a few years ago, funny really as I don't particularly like football.
