Hoarder
66 Answers
Have just watched a programme about a man who lives in Surrey who is a serious hoarder.I've never seen anything like it in my life.
The other people in the village didn't want to have anything to do with him but one man offered his help and eventually more people came forward to offer their help.
They manage to clear most of his garden but then had to tackle the house and then the programme ended! grrrrr.
Why don't people who make these programmes realise that most of us would liked to have seen the outcome?
Did anyone else on here watch it?

The one I watched was a couple of years ago, the guy carried home plastic carriers full of rubbish. You couldn't get into his house the rubbish was piled up to the ceiling with just a small space about 3 x 3 where he had a table and chair to eat from. I think he was sectioned.
Please excuse my spelling I have cut my right index finger and have a plaster on it so typing is a bit difficult.
I agree jamesnan. I wish one of those programmes would come along and do his house for him and somebody else to come along and fix him up with nice clothes as I think below all the grime is probably a very nice man.
Hope there will be a follow up but they didn't mention anything after the prog had finished.

Yes I watched it .Poor chap ..obviously very lonely with problems .
Nicely spoken man though and obviously very intelligent. Fair play to that young chap who gave him a hand and chivvied him along .
I'm glad some pitched in to help ,although I didn't see that up himself sniffy wing commander type doing much to help .
Probably too busy being the president of everything that went on in the village and minding everybody elses business.

Oh God yes Mr Trebus Mark Rae! His famous line to the council inspector was "Shove it up you bloody chufter!" I remember him, no wonder he didn't want to give anything away after living in the years when; was it Polish? people had absolutely nothing AT ALL! He was just being careful and ensuring he had something rather than nothing.
