why is ITV getting so rubbish

I said exactly this to a friend this morning - I only have the 5 standard channels & I don't think it's ever been as bad as it now.

ITV has always been dodgy.  I do watch Corrie but I honestly think that's the only thing on ITV I ever watch apart from news occasionally.

The same could be said for all TV and the advent of satellite and digital just propagates even more dumbing down od what is supposed to be entertainment. Give more an OU documentary about quasars any day over Big Brother. Though, I must say, Hell's Kitchen did inspire me to experiment a bit with my cooking.
