For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.I am not ashamed to say I watch Corrie, mainly for the consistent humour and good acting. Also it attracts a lot of famous actors. ( Ian McKellan is appearing at the moment)
However, I would agree that there is a lot of content that is now not suitable for family viewing in all the soaps, although I would argue that Corrie is perhaps the least offensive, although there have been some pretty violent scenes. So, yes, the soaps should be shown after the watershed.
I stopped watching Eastenders about 8 years ago too,when I realised I felt depressed after each episode.I've now given up on Emmerdale also because every storyline appears to be fixated on either extra marital,underage or triangle relationships,or somebody is trying to hide something from the police! All get extremely boring after they've rolled the same basic storyline out time and time again!
