Why does Channel 4+1 on Sky not repeat Frasier in the mornings from Channel 4? It does on Freeview but I noticed the other morning that it does not repeat on Sky.

what does it show instead then? +1 channels just run an hour behind?

It just shows a screen with a message on it knowabit, can't remember the phrasing but it's along the lines of this programme can't be shown. I don't know if they do it for other tv shows at that time in the morning too, I only noticed it with Frasier.
not sure then. I've seen that message before on ITv+1 but only during the advert breaks, as in the adverts are not shown, but the programme is.

Well you certainly live up to your name knowabit.
If Channel 4 have only agreed with (and paid) the distributor of Frasier for the rights to one broadcast then they are not allowed to reshow the programme on their timeshifted +1 channel.
Ah that would make sense. Although I'm sure I've seen it on the +1 channel before?
Probably very simple. As said it IS repeated on Freeview, and the rights exist to show in the UK (and show and show and show in the case of this programme - wish they'd repeat Cheers or Rosanne instead myself...) but because on the satellite they can technically be viewed anywhere in the footprint of it, basically being most of Europe.

But I've never seen this happen to any afternoon or evening programmes, it seems only to be on the morning.
