I can read and comment on any post I like thank you very much -it amazes me how folks get tied up in these soaps -its not snobbery at all - this rubbish is badly written, badly researched - amazingly stupid story lines and unbelievable characters -that's my opinion and thank god I live in a country where I'm allowed to voice it - oh and deffo it was Sally's husbands girlfriends mother who found out frank was having it away with Barmaid Betty and Albert Tatlocks love-child who revealed all in the rovers at christmas just before the tram ploughed into the street killing off the actors who were becoming frankly boring but would'nt leave. Tyrone, takes the wrap, does 3 weeks in a high security prison before its revealed actually it was Rosy who did it while under the influence of an overdose of slimfast coffee regale.....
I don't like football, hence I stay away from theads about it.
Yes, you can say what you like on any thread Kristal. I doubt whether any of us on this thread are tied up in soaps. I watch Corrie and enjoy it, mainly I must admit for the humour. I admit the story lines are far fetched and badly researched in most cases, but I don't care - I enjoy it. It gives me a half hour or so of relaxation where I don't have to think too hard. Don't knock the soaps or those who enjoy them. There are some very intelligent people who enjoy soaps, just as much as there are some very intelligent people who enjoy football, which I find moronic and a total waste of time.

I like to consider myself reasonably intelligent. I watch only Corrie (soap-wise) as I find some of the writing excellent (some less so with silly story lines), some of the humour brilliant, some of the acting outstanding (some less so, of course) and I can sit back and enjoy it for what it is. I do watch other programmes documentaries, Horizon etc but Corrie is pure entertainment. Long may it thrive...don't know about the murderer by the way!
Corrie is, in my opinion, pure escapism. Feet up time, cuppa and relax and enjoy. I love it, always have and always will and I don't care how daft the storylines seem at times as it must be harder and harder for the writers to think new things up all the time! When Corrie does humour, it's second to none. As I've said before and I'll say again, Frank's Mum dun it!!!!
