After watching it my opinion has changed. I did feel the programme was a little biased in trying to prove his innocence but if what was shown is to be believed then there are huge inconsistancies in the various statements given by the others involved and a number of lines of enquiry not checked. I know feel more sure that he did not have any part in it.

UMMMMMM You do not need to be a good actor ,just to see your life flash past you ,will surely make your acting abilities seem Oscar worthy ,I had a friend who wanted to leave the RAF many years ago and so he pretended to be mad,18 months later he was discharged. There is a very sad end to this story a few years later he hung himself from the hallway stairs so really there is no easy way out ,I think he is guilty and the TV programme made me feel sure, either way I think he is between Hell and High-water he could end up making himself mad and might face the prospect of being detained under the mental health act .
it definately looks like he's guilty. i keep wondering why would he have so many meetings that are caught on camera with the driver, right from the minute they arrived at the hotel he was off chatting to the driver
the only answer i could think of was maybe he's trying to be romantic and plan everything to perfection and wanted everything to be right but if that was his reasons to keep meeting with the driver you wouldn't need to meet so many times to plan a romantic trip out.
by the end of the programme we couldn't make up our mind. especially when the south african police have still not interviewed a lot of people e.g the couple that were in the room at the end when he gave the taxi driver a bag of money. they could answer a lot of questions
