hasn't this programme had it's day, the eggheads mostly look bored, and the challengers rarely get the better of them, with the occasional glitch..
I confess it's only on because the news is too depressing.

havnt seen eggheads for ages. I love quizzes but this ones had its day. I have thought that having the eggheads on Breakaway would be entertaining though.

i confess i have never liked it, mostly because of CJ, a rather strange, disconcerting bloke...

I think the eggs have been overshadowed by "Perfection". I think the eggs need a more spontaneous question-chairman instead of the same old intro and other repeated statements. I agree about CJ: not in same league as others eggs and his ego far exceeds his talent. Anti-sport from Chris, Judith and CJ is disappointing. The latter's catiness towards Edith is a disgrace.
To its credit I find Kevin and Pat's encyclopoedic knowledge fascinating. Best improvement would be, like many other programmes, weekly but LIVE.

I still watch it when I can. It's interesting how we all have different opinions about the eggheads. I really like CJ, I find Kevin smug, Daphne really irritating with a vicious competitive streak she hides with smiles and Barry I just want to slap the grin off his face.

Sorry em10 and all - meant Daphne (the "mature" lady) not Judith (good quiet sense of self-mocking humour). I like both. To others, I say from my experience in life I have found no smugness in any really knowledgeable person. The same goes for all eggs but for odd-ball CJ. Show does reveal many knowledgeable individuals, if not whole teams, in our society. But overall I suppose it has reached it's sell-by date. I agree with em10 that the news is so depressingly boring and sick of so many weather-forecasts.

They have used the same script forever, and it wastes time at the start. Unlike University Challenge, where they say "you all know the rules, so let's get on with it"

I much prefer University Challenge, but also wish they would bring back Fifteen to One...............

It's certainly lost it's entertainment value, the only interesting information coming from it is finding out how little Jeremy Vine knows.

Ive watched it for years, but its in need of a revamp and a lot more humor like The Chase and Pointless.

Knowledge dosent have to be boring which Eggheads has become.

No personality robot Kevin who never smiles, train spotter miserable Chris, know it all CJ who dosent know F/A, posh Judith thick as 2 planks, patronizing Daphne with the silly smile, and geeky smiling Barry dont help the programme. But I like Pat.

As for Jeremy Vine, his voice is so boring and his script so repetitive but, that could be the the writers fault!

It would be interesting to know how much they get paid a programme?

Is a little tired. I much prefer 'The Chase' If only to watch Mark. Takes no prisoners does he!

Gave up watching it a couple of years ago. Much prefer University Challenge, Mastermind and of course Pointless for the lovely Richard Osman.

The main value of the show is the proof it provides that much of the money spent on higher education is wasted. If you've seen some of the "student" teams you'll know what I'm talking about.
