The thing that surprised me most is just how ridiculously easy it is, symptomatic of the on-going dumbing down of Britain. Simon Mayo could hardly have been a worse choice as host.

I agree Mark, I thought Mayo didn't look right, he should stick to radio!
I'd rather watch The Bob Holness repeats!
I used to love Blockbusters after school.

I'd like to give it a go but Simon Mayo gives me the creeps.
Didn't see it, but if it's on at the same time as when I was a lad it can only be a good thing in helping to provide a little further education to children.
List of programmes I think I've never actually seen.

1. Blockbusters
It's on at 8pm weekdays on Challenge, IIRC...
Thanks, MR

I haven't 'not seen it' because I don't know how to find it, LOL
I haven't seen it yet but used to love it with Bob Holness. I bet they've changed the Intro Music and they don't need to, the original was great. I can still do the hand jive to it.

Are there no school kids?
I taught my daughter how to write her letters watching Blockbusters together.
Then we she started play school she was admonished for writing in block
capitals, LOL!
Same music (re-recording), same fiver per correct answer, maximum of five gold runs.
Just watched it and it was dire. How can they give grown up contestants £5 per correct question? Never mind the fact that it was first screened in the 80's when £5 to a teenager was a lot of money, the prize per question should have been at least £50 by today's standards.

Same tune but they couldn't resist tweaking it to its detriment.

Like Simon Mayo but not on the telly. There were too many longish gaps between the Gold Run questions.
when's it on?
On Challenge every night at 8.00pm.
^^ :-)
LOL, I can't get that station, perhaps it's just as well
I used to really love the original Blockbusters, but this was dire.
