Just watching swimming championship on Eurosport, Hamilton Bland
commentating, says it all bland, monotonous had to mute, what other commentators annoy you.
Jonathan Pearce and Tony Gubba, on Match Of The Day. Gubba used to pronounce Fulham goalkeeper Mark Schwarzers name as Sch-Vart-zer (With special emphasis on the Vart).
I would always watch a Champions League game on Sky than listen to anyone on ITV. Alan Green on Radio 5 gets right on my pecs too!
Yes Murray W. was/is a star - he always commentates standing rather than sitting - possibly because his trousers are on fire (it certainly sounds that way)
I agree with mrsspagnoli57 that Clive Tyldesley is the real pain of al the commentators. Most players are called by their surname during matches but with Silva and Luis he always has to precede it by their christian name David with a ridiculous fake foreign accent. He said David Silva over 30times in one match so that in the end I switched the sound off because it was driving us up the wall
i turn the tv over when they witter on. Agree about Jonathan Davies, as well, but Matt Baker takes the top spot, he is undoubtedly so in love with his own voice, that doesn't get the fact he is a twerp.
Julian Rider is one of the co-commentators for MotoGP on Eurosport. He doesn't seem to breathe in during any sentence so that by the time he reaches the last couple of words in a longer one he sounds like Mr. Bean. At least he knows what he's talking about.
