It is well known that Kenneth Williams had a love/hate relationship with the films. He could not resist the lure of fame, success and camping it up outrageously (for the time) whilst he bemoaned the fact that he could not be given any "real" acting jobs. He appeared in Sergeant, Nurse, Teacher, Constable, Regardless, Cruising, Jack, Spying, Cleo, Cowboy, Screaming, Doctor, Up the Khyber, Henry, At Your Convenience, Matron, Abroad, Dick, Behind, and Emmannuelle.
Sid James, who had a more prolific film and TV career, appeared in Constable, Regardless, Cabby, Cleo, Cowboy, Doctor, Up the Khyber, Camping, Again Doctor, Loving, Henry, Up the Jungle, At Your Convenience, Matron, Abroad, Girls, and Dick. At the end, Williams and James were the highest paid Carry On actors, earning 5,000 per film (1975 prices!).
