I was just watching emmerdale and im wondering who was Andy's mother (called Sarah) and why was Robert so upset about the name??

andy was adopted by Jack and Sarah, Robert was Sarah's natural son.

When they all lived on the farm and it was struggling Andy set fire to the barn to get insurance for Jack to help pay bills, without anyone knowing.

However, Sarah was having an affair with a villiger and was in the barn at the time and died from the fire thus effectivily Andy killing her although he didnt know at the time until soon after the flames caught hold.

Since then there has always been tension between the two lads with Robert stealing Andy's wife Katy
