i've been a fan of the doc for the entire 49 years, i'm not ashamed to admit that tom baker was my favourite of the earlier ones.
the bbc took a big risk bringing him back in 2005 - in a culture that had changed so much .. fortunately it worked, and has been a roaring success, and now a new generation of children can 'hide behind the settee'.
eccleston was delightfully eccentric -- tennant was superb, and i think kids prefer tennant .. smith has settled in quite well - and is developing his own style.
last night was a real tear-jerker and was one of the best 'companion leaves' stories ever. . we are now eagerly waiting for christmas for the special followed by the rest of this season.
well done to the writers and producers.
