Hi, not sure if this is in the right section.  I have a digital tv and on Monday my channels went funny so I re-tuned my tv and now I have lost, all ITV channels, Channel 4, Five and E4 and I can't get them back.  I have recently moved 2 months ago into a newly built flat and it has been prefect up until now.  Does anyone know why this has happened and how can I get the channels back?  I contacted Freeview but they were no help at all!  Thanks in advance everyone.

Hi butter1 - you got Freeview sorted out then!!

Last time I re-tuned my digital TV automatically, I lost a channel and the reception wasn't as good on a couple of others.  What had happened was they had been tuned into the wrong channel numbers!  (e.g. ITV was on 9 instead of 3).

You should have a menu option to move the tuned channels around, so check what you have got and where it is.  Also I do get a lot of signal problems at the moment with the weather - suddenly goes away for a few minutes.

Hope this helps........

Try installing new channels, worked for us earlier this week.

I get this - sometimes the signal is stronger than others so I just wait a day or so and then install channels again and they usually reappear.

Sunny weather usually does it for me, I get a far stronger signal in bad weather for some strange reason, if there is sunshine outside, the signal goes!

Sorry, forgot to mention that the first channels to go on mine are ITV1, ITV2 and ITV3 quickly followed by C4 and E4 so it looks like your problem is the same.
I have a different problem - on 'normal' tv I can get all 5 channels but on digital I cannot get any BBC in fact I only get 11 out of the 30 odd channels.  I wondered if I neede a new ariel

I think that's the main problem I have, I need an aerial upgrade.  The main reason I got a freeview box was because BBC1 suddenly decided to go all 'wobbly'.  The problem I have is that my house is in a 'regeneration' area and I really begrudge forking out for a new aerial if they tell me next month my house will be demolished!

Oh never mind, I'll give up watching TV and spend all my time on AnswerBank instead....

Thanks for your answers.  It sounds like I have the same problem that sammy snake has.  I tried re-scanning the channels again last night and itv etc came back but has gone fuzzy...  I'll just have to wait to see if it is the weather.  Thanks again.
