What are your comments on this as it has left me puzzled. It was very well written and directed but who done the murder as we did not actually see anyone being arrested at the end. Maybe just me being thick I have it recorded may have to watch it again .

I thought the cop did it but his ex cop wife set up the guy who's wife had died. I got confused after that must have missed something as they seemed to lose evidence they planted there.

Did you mean the wife of the husband who committed suicide? Oh dear it gets more puzzling.

The blonde copper killed her because he believed Hattie had put a curse on him. The little heart she had planted wasnt a curse but only worked because he believed it did. His wife found the charm and hatties hair and planted it on Linus's dad and then told the police that he had done it, to cover up for her husband; 'nothing is more important than this family' even if you are married to a murderer!
Assume somehow Linus managed to switch the evidence that was planted for a rock so his dad got off - well someone did that!
Caitlin, Hatties Twin dressed up as Hattie, she suggested that she was guiding her with what to do, and she pointed out who had been responsible (the blond copper) VERY frustrating we didnt see him get arrested! Or that we didnt see exactly what had happened to Seth (although the blood on the tree stump was a big hint that he'd been killed)

Thank you for that explanation Gabjar now it does seem to look a bit clearer but would have been better as I said if we had seen an arrest. Oh why do they do these complicated story lines but it was good. . Thanks.

the copper did the murder and his wife covered for him and hatties sister dressed up as hattie to freak the copper and family out...i would like to know what happened to seth after he was beaten up in the woods though...

I think the heart was changed in the same way that stones kept falling near Caitlin - a little bit of magic or mystic there I think. I enjoyed it - it was different.

I thought all along that it was the copper. He just had that sort of persona about him. Why his wife did what she did when he didnt even treat her with love, I cant understand. I enjoyed it though although as mentioned in another post, lots of unanswered questions

The copper's wife had a bone to pick with Linus' dad about something he did way back when (raped her??? he did ask if the youngest was his) so by framing him she was killing two birds with one stone...her revenge for whatever happened and saved the family.

and young Linus used to perform sex acts in the woods for Mr Spicer (who hanged himself) to watch and Spicer paid him, but he wasn't there on MayDay when he should have been, and Spicer saw the whole murder and didn't help.

the cop did it, he was shown strangling the young girl. I didn't watch much as i didn't really like it

but why did the copper's girl keep saying they had seen Hattie and the mother kept denying it, and who was the blonde waiting at the station, oh hope there's lots more!!

Yes I watched this, though I missed the middle episode.

Sure it was Hattie's sister at the end of the programme, cycling along, wearing Hattie's clothes, blond wig? she was the one pointing a finger at the policeman who was having a picnic with his wife and children. I did watch that much, but honestly this was a bit odd..

My guess is that Linus' father asked if the young boy was his just to give us a clue of what he had done to Mrs. x copper. Mr. Spicer couldn't report the murder because it might then be found out what he was doing out in the woods on other occasions. Talk about a tangled web........wow....
