I do like to watch things in sequence , so in about 7 or 8 years I will give THe Towers a viewing .

I like the films but I hate the books. I've got through the hobbit, fellowship of the ring and half of the two towers before I just gave up on them. The films are fun though :c)

I remember being bored the first time I watched them but thought maybe I've missed something so gave it another go... ended up watching resident evil.

I heard someone on the radio who's young son was a LOTR freak, he'd read the books many times over. The local cinema were showing the extended versions of all three films back to back, the man took his son as a treat. On leaving the cinema, over ten hours later, he said to his son "Well, what did you think?" his son thought for a moment, then replied "They left loads out!"

i love both books and films but gave up going to the cinema after the 2 one, too bloody long for me to sit on one place without food (popcorn was gone by the end of previews)
