I took my youngest son to the first movie and he had to wake me up a couple of times cos i was snoreing, haven't seen any of the others but maybe i have and they had no impact lol

Read it in 1966, loved it. Films not so good, part 1 was OK but declined from there on.

Actually I loved the book but have only seen the first film. Elijah Wood is creepy and put me off.

Absolutely loved the books. Remember finishing book 2 at about midnight and had to go to an all night Asda to get book 3. Wouldn't have been able to sleep otherwise. Liked the films, but not as much as the books.
